The effectiveness of Essentiale Forte results from the content of phospholipids with the action of rebuilding the membranes of damaged liver cells. Phospholipids are organic chemical compounds. They are a type of fats (or lipids) and are the basic building blocks of membranes that surround cells in all living organisms. Phospholipids have a complex chemical structure. They can be delivered to the body with the right diet as well as in a synthetic form. A natural source of phospholipids are foods such as egg yolks, soybeans, peanuts and walnuts as well as wheat germs, asparagus or beef liver. The mixture of phospholipids contained in these products is called food. A small part is the so-called necessary phospholipids. They have a special therapeutic effect, because they inhibit the processes of fibrosis in the liver, which translates into a lower risk of developing cirrhosis of the liver. In addition, essential phospholipids participate in the process of digesting fats and absorption of soluble vitamins, and increase the solubility of cholesterol in bile, which makes it easier to eliminate from the body
